My friend, Amanda, and her step-mother, Suzanne, run a nice bead and gem store in Darien, CT named, Beadz Boutique. Amanda was really supportive when I first started photography. She always asked if I would be willing to help her and Suzanne capture some promotional material for the store.
Beadz Boutique was originally located on Tokeneke Rd. but then moved around the corner to Post Road. They are now located next door to Chunky Pam's Sweet Shoppe. Having a gem and bead store next door to a candy store? What a great 1-2 punch.
To celebrate the re-opening of the store, Carol Wilder-Tamme and the Darien Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony. VIP Chef Services and Catering of Weston, CT provided hors d'oeuvres and desserts while Chunky Pam's had a couple of popcorn machines going. There was also a quick appearance by the Mayor of Stamford, CT (2010), Michael Pavia. It was the perfect atmosphere for both kids and adults:
